Mission Statement: The alliance exists to promote public awareness of the cultural resources of the Terre Haute, Indiana area.

Descriptive Statement: The Cultural Alliance of Terre Haute is a consortium of organizations committed to creating a community that embraces and supports its cultural resources.

Vision Statement: The Cultural Alliance strives to become a comprehensive consortium of organizations that is a driving force for cultural awareness and growth.

Values: The values governing the Cultural Alliance of Terre Haute's development will include the following:
•  Mutual cooperation amongst CATH members
•  Educational encouragement within the membership and the community
•  Aesthetic enhancement in members' programs and within the community-at-large
•  Promotion of history, preservation, heritage, and the uniqueness of Terre Haute
•  A positive attitude in will be maintained in the business of CATH and in the promoting of culture
•  Diversity and inclusiveness in membership and in cultural outlook
•  Resourcefulness in working together and with the community
•  Creativity
•  Maintaining solvency and stability within the organization

Objectives: Longer term objectives of the Cultural Alliance of Terre Haute are summarized as:
• Increasing attendance in cultural participation
• Create a more comprehensive network of cultural organizations
• More effective coordination of programming, planning, etc. amongst members and cultural organizations
• More involvement in the sharing of resources
• Effective promotions and marketing
• A stronger focus on audience building
• Provide better educational enhancement and support
• Stimulate cultural enrichment and improvement
• Build partnerships between culture, education, business, and government
• Achieve and maintain a high level of visibility
•  Work towards creating a better quality of life in Terre Haute
• Create better awareness of culture in response to the claim "there is nothing to do in Terre Haute"
